Must demonstrate and promote teamwork. Must be able to work in a calm and conscientious manner under high volume and STAT conditions. Basic communication skills and the ability to be caring and personable with patients are mandatory. Knowledge of standard laboratory terminology is preferred. Rigid accuracy in the identification of patient names and numbers and the ability to perform phlebotomy successfully using established procedures on patients of all ages are essential qualifications.
