The Pathology Transcriber accurately types surgical, cytology, autopsy and miscellaneous reports for Pathology Services. The Pathology Transcriber may also provide general secretarial support. The world renowned Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a MEG Technologist for their newly installed MEG system. The program complements our growing Clinical Neurophysiology Program that covers all areas of EEG, IONM, EMU, and LTM. The MEG at BNI is the first MEG system in Arizona and will service both adult and pediatric populations via a unique dual-helmet dewer.
Responsibilities
Duties include patient set up, data acquisition and analysis of MEG data, including spontaneous and evoked field MEG with simultaneous EEG data. The MEG technologist position requires an advanced clinical Electroneurodiagnostic skill set and a high level of computer competency. Presentation of MEG data and interactions with clinical teams will also be required.

The telemetry monitor technician/observer is an employee who is responsible to critically monitor/observe the cardiac rhythms of multiple patients on the cardiac monitor. In this role, the employee is responsible to promptly report any rhythm changes by communicating to the appropriate registered nurse with escalation until a confirmation response is received. The employee is to maintain telemetry box equipment and count and confirm that the identified telemetry box in use on the patient matches that on the cardiac monitor. The employee prints rhythm strips and is competent in rhythm analyses. The telemetry monitor technician/observer also functions in the role of a hospital unit clerk (HUC). As the Unit Clerk, she/he provides/displays excellent communication ability with patient families, patients, visitors, all hospital employees, and persons whom they encounter to ensure questions are answered or escalated for a response. She/he serves as a unit receptionist and welcomes visitors, pleasantly directs them, responds to and coordinates phone communications, orders and monitors clerical supplies/inventory and forms, and cleans work areas. Employees are responsible for timely completion of unit competency assessments, annual safety review, maintenance of continuing education units if applicable and as required by hospital policy.
