The incumbent provides care, treatment and service to Home Health and Hospice patients and their families in their place of residence within their scope of practice. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Is responsible for, and performs those duties consistent with the recognized scope of practice for Licensed Vocational Nursing. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. - The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Per Diem performs nursing care to patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or there direct management member.
- The LVN performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties. Assist with patient and family teaching, working cooperatively with all health care providers.

Position Summary:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is responsible for knowing his/her professional scope of orientation period that includes demonstrating skills and behaviors that meet a fully competent level of performance.
The LVN maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment, and performs patient care services that support the physician / provider's practice under the clinical supervision of the Physician, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physicians Assistant or other licensed staff. This includes assisting in prepping patients for examinations or procedures, assisting with procedures, relaying instructions from the physician to a patient or authorized person, and collecting patient data. Documenting patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided to the patient in the patients medical record for the physician's review. Administrating medications specifically directed by the physician and performing accurate vital sign measurements and documentation. Providing leadership to support staff.

The SAU LVN III assists the RN and physician staff in clinical data collection and procedures within scope of practice.

About This Position
Position provides routine daily services and special projects to maintain the plant at a functional and operational level. Under direct supervision of Chief Engineer, performs duties requisite to assisting in all lines of preventative maintenance, maintenance and repairs as required to assigned hospital equipment.
