The CT Technologist is a Registered Radiologic Technologist, who, under the direction of the Radiologist or supervising technologist, performs CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Must strictly adhere to the State of California Radiation Safety Regulations as it applies to worker and patient safety. 1 Year acute hospital imaging procedures required. 1-2 years CT experience preferred. CA Radiology Tech. (R) (F), ARRT and CPR required. Venipuncture required upon hire. Demonstrated competency required within 30-days of hire. Hires after 05/15/11 but before 7/15/14, require license within 1 year of hire. Hires 7/15/14 and after require CT license upon hire. Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical and technical personnel. Must have the ability to read, write and speak English.

The MR/CT Technologist Float position is responsible for knowing his/her professional scope of practice as defined by the California Business and Professional Code and for satisfactorily completing the Dignity Health Medical Foundation orientation period that includes demonstrating skills and behaviors that meet a fully competent level of performance. MR/CT Technologists Floats maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment and perform patient care services that support the physician / provider's practice under the supervision of the radiologists, other licensed staff and Management. This includes assisting in prepping patients for MR/CT examinations, relaying instructions from the radiologist to a patient or authorized person, and collecting patient data, documenting patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided to the patient in the patient's medical record for the radiologist's review, and performing diagnostic medical imaging. May be required to work in other modalities with appropriate licensure. This position requires the incumbent to travel to various MIC sites as needed, and to be flexible with schedule.
