The Registered Nurse is responsible for supporting the Nurse Manager of the unit to manage and coordinate clinical operations in order to provide quality direct patient care to the pediatric to geriatric population. Will ensure all aspects of documentation, care planning and patient care delivery to meet regulatory requirements.

JOB SUMMARY
The Staff Nurse II is responsible for direct and indirect delivery of patient care for a wide variety of patient populations through the use of the nursing process and maintenance of the standards of professional nursing practice. REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in critical care setting strongly preferred, but combination of education, other experience and specialty training may be considered.
- Must have a valid California RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA-approved). Basic computer skills.
- One year acute care nursing experience preferred. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Advanced EKG Interpretation, 12 lead EKG Interpretation preferred. CCRN preferred. CareConnect MAR experience preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical record preferred. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of patients or employees.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Assesses patient/family health problems and resources, takes a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care provided by the nursing team. Provides technical nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations. This position requires providing service to a one or more age populations including an ill neonate through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
