Position Summary:
The incumbent is responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. The incumbent administers treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. The incumbent also assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.

Principle Duties and Accountabilities:
- Meets the discipline-specific productivity standard.
- Demonstrates competency in care of patients during field observation by the clinical supervisor.
- Completes and submits documentation following established guidelines as measured by the designated evaluation tool.
- Ensures physician orders are present and written correctly.
- Documents follow-up of identified problems.
- Reviews and documents clinical progress toward goals.
- Demonstrates coordination of care by appropriate communication with other disciplines and team members, documenting that communication as measured by a designated evaluation tool.
- Meets agency/regulatory requirements as measured by a designated evaluation tool.
- Documents appropriate management of visit utilization and authorization status as measured by a designated evaluation
tool.
- Meets regulatory requirements for supervisory visits as measured by a designated evaluation tool.

Our 36-bed CARF accredited Rehabilitation Unity has been providing care for over 30 years. Specialty programs include stroke, spinal cord injury, NICU and hands.
The Occupational Therapist will evaluate patients of varying diagnoses and disorders requiring OT. Will develop, implement and modify treatment plans for patients ranging in age from adolescent to geriatric. The department offers a multi-level career ladder with strong education and mentoring programs.
