Performs MRI procedures ensuring maximum quality imaging, patient safety, and accuracy of information for interpretation. Able to perform all aspects of various MRI procedures. This position requires providing care/service to a critically ill through rehabilitating adolescent through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

This includes assisting in prepping patients for Radiologic examinations, relaying instructions from the radiologist to a patient or authorized person, and collecting patient data, documenting patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided to the patient in the patient's medical record for the radiologist review, and performing diagnostic medical imaging.
May be required to work in other modalities with possession of appropriate licensure.
May be required to occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed

Position Summary:Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to produce clinical diagnostic x-ray images. Performs diagnostic radiologic procedures on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
- Ensures images are delivered to PACS in proper sequence, position, along with all required documents.
- Performs daily room checks at end of shift and signs check list, prepares room, equipment, supplies and contrast media as needed.
- Directly assists the physician in the performance of procedures. Positions and communicates instructions to patients before and during procedures.
- Ensures the clinical history is appropriate for the exam that is ordered. Ensures patient safety through appropriate monitoring during the procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must posses and maintain a current California radiography certificate (CRT) and national registry certificate (ARRT).
- Must posses and maintain a current Fluoroscopy certification within six months of hire.
- Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS).
- Will be required to take call. Will be required to work weekends on a rotational basis.

In keeping with the French Hospital Medical Center health care philosophy, the Radiologic Technologist II performs all radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures at a technical level not requiring supervision to technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for specific radiographic procedures, angiography or cardiac cath procedures, CT or MRI procedures, and or mammography procedures. Works unsupervised and demonstrates competence in all routine, fluoroscopic and surgical x-ray procedures. Demonstrates ability to run the floor in the absence of the Diagnostic Supervisor (includes film QC, organizing work assignments, maintaining work flow throughout department, and problem solving skills). Selection CriteriaX-ray only with five or more years experience or two years experience as Rad Tech and certified and/or competent in another imaging modality (CT,MRI, US, Mammo, NM, Angio/Cath). Must be willing to work in both modalities as needed. A.A. Degree preferred.

About This Position
In keeping with the philosophy, performs such typical distinguishing duties as: Receives patients and visitors, ascertains their needs and directs them accordingly; answers incoming calls and determines their proper disposition; maintains statistics; processes patient charges; prepares and reorganizes patient charts at the beginning and termination of treatment; assists with setting up appointments; types correspondence; maintains adequate supplies of agency forms and office supplies; and performs all other clerical functions relevant to effective agency function as necessary.
Registration of new patients for all Rehabilitation departments while correctly identifying the patient's particular payor type. Assists in the training of relief personnel. Sends bills on a regular basis, (bi-weekly) maintains petty cash drawer. Ensures a clean and safe work environment by being alert for unsafe conditions and malfunctioning equipment and using appropriate procedures for their correction. Performs other related duties such as: Participates in all departmental functions and activities as required, including inservice education, and other tasks relevant to effective department function as necessary.
Selection Criteria
Must have knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.. Must have excellent communication skills both in person and on the telephone. Previous experience in a medical setting, and proficiency in Spanish preferred. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, accurately, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrates basic knowledge of the principles and techniques employed in medical procedure billing. Experience with Meditech preferred. Demonstrates ability to function in a team environment, collaborating with other patient care team members, physicians, patient, and their families. Ability to excel in an environment with multiple distractions while attending to multiple tasks simultaneously. Able to produce under moderate to minimal direct supervision. Entry level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.. Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently.
Position Summary:
The Navigator serves as a consistent care coordinator ensuring timely access and seamless coordination of services throughout the continuum of breast care. The Navigator will meet with patients and families to provide emotional support and guidance following the diagnosis of breast cancer through end stage disease if necessary. The Navigator is responsible for all aspects of the RED Rose breast cancer program. RED Rose provides free clinical breast exams, mammograms, ultrasounds, surgical consultations and biopsies to women and men 49 years old and younger who lack adequate health care coverage or the financial means to obtain them.
- The Navigator also administers a support services program, which provides services such as utility, rent and food assistance for those undergoing breast cancer treatments.
