Position Summary:
Provides professional nursing care in accordance with the nursing process and BRN scope of practice.

Coordinates total patient care for assigned patients. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life-span. Able to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret information needed to identify each patient's requirement relative to his/her age-specific need, and to provide appropriate care as defined by policies and procedures. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of St. Bernardine Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. Requirements: NICU course certification withing 6 months of employment in the position. Current California Registered Nurse License, Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider, Neonatal Resuscitation- within the first 6 months of employment into the position. One year of Med/Surg or NICU nursing preferred.
