The Respiratory Therapist II is designated for individuals who may not have demonstrated/ documented competency in all areas of clinical care (adult critical care unit, emergency department and neonatal intensive care unit. When all requirements regarding competency and experience have been met, the individual would be eligible for reclassification as a Respiratory Therapist III.   Minimum   - One (1) year of experience as a respiratory therapist required - Successful completion of accredited school of respiratory therapy and associated clinical rotations required. - Associate of Science degree required - Must possess a valid State of California License or Permit Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care - Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certification required.   Preferred - Two (2) years of experience as a respiratory therapist experience preferred.
