The Ivy Brain Tumor Center is a non-conventional, non-profit program offering state-of-the-art clinical trials for patients with the most aggressive form of brain cancer. The candidate should have a strong background in chemical/pharmaceutical sciences with a reasonable working knowledge in translational research. Candidates who have experience in LC-MS/MS-based method development/validation and can demonstrate competency in pharmacokinetic data analysis will be preferred. The candidate should be highly motivated, able to work well in teams, and have excellent communication skills. We are the newest addition to the Dignity Health system in Arizona.  As community-based hospitals, both AZGH Laveen and AZGH Mesa hospitals provide 24/7 medical services including emergency, intensive care, inpatient, and surgical to patients in the underserved communities.  Apart from being located in underserved areas and being tailored to suit the local demographics, AZGH Laveen and AZGH Mesa Hospitals heavily focus on patient-centered care which offers convenience and speedy access to care that might not be as readily available in other medical institutions.   The Pharmacy Department at Dignity Health Arizona General Hospital is a full-service 24/7 pharmacy.  Our Pharmacy Department provides comprehensive and progressive pharmaceutical care services to patients at AZGH Laveen Hospital, AZGH Mesa Hospital, and at all 12 Free Standing Emergency centers throughout the Phoenix metropolitan.  Pharmaceutical care services offered by our department include: daily clinical services, daily patient counseling, oral/topical and IV medication dispensing, sterile and non-sterile product preparations, ongoing pharmaceutical education to nursing and clinical staff to promote optimal and effective medication therapy.   Under the supervision of on-duty pharmacist, pharmacy technicians are actively involved with the following tasks and responsibilities during work shift: receiving medications from whole-sale distributor, stocking medications, preparing and filling medications, restocking medication in Omnicell units, replenishing medication in various kits (RSI, code trays, STEMI etc.), repackaging unit-dose medications, delivering medication to the nursing floors and to the Free Standing Emergency centers, preparing sterile and non-sterile medications (including some hazardous drugs).   Pharmacy technicians’ shift assignments at AZGH Laveen and Mesa are fairly flexible. Didactic and hands-on training sessions are offered to new staff to ensure new employee efficiently performs his/her work tasks and successfully fulfills the department’s expectation.  Pharmacy technicians may be required to work every other weekends. Major holidays are staffed by using the every-other-year rotation model.  #HelloAHGNowHiring
