About This Position In keeping with the Marian Medical Center healthcare philosophy, the Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound procedures at a technically proficient level.  Positions and instructs the patient, operates ultrasound equipment and determines the technical factors for ultrasound procedures. Ensures correct marking/labeling of images, provide and confirm proper/adequate documentation of procedures to assist in diagnosis. Technically proficient in a variety of ultrasound procedures. Position Summary:   The Sonographer II performs ultrasonography procedures.  Preferably performs all routine and emergency radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.  Provides radiology servcies to all ages.   Minimum:   - One year or more as a sonographer is required. - One year or more as a radiologic technologist, if applicable, is required.  - Successful completion of RDMS Registry examination in two of the following three areas: Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular or ARRT is required. - Current BLS certification (CT CPRBLS) is required.  Preferred:   - Associate degree in Science is preferred. - Completion of California State Certification (CRT) examination, if Radiologic Tech AND completion of the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) national examination, if radiologic technologist is preferred.
