Methodist Hospital, a member of Dignity Health, is currently looking for a Senior Special Procedures Technologist to add to their hospital staff. The Senior Special Procedures Technologist performs general radiographic procedures as well as more complex procedures according to written or transcribed verbal orders of a physician within the scope of his/her certification. The individual in this position should demonstrate competency in patient care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The technologist can be required to participate in the department's call schedule to ensure coverage of weeknights, weekends and holidays.

About This Position
In keeping with the French Hospital Medical Center health care philosophy, the Registered Nurse manages quality patient care through the nursing process. Coordinates plan of care with the health care team. Assumes leadership role for unit personnel to prepare and assist them with their responsibilities. Employees are responsible for completion of unit competency assessments, annual safety review, CPR, and renewal of license by maintaining continuing education units as required by hospital policy. In addition to these major responsibilities, the Registered Nurse may be assigned other duties.

The Stationary Engineer shall, under the direction of the Chief Engineer, or the Assistant Chief Engineer, operate and maintain all steam, electrical, refrigeration, and the mechanical equipment in the hospital. Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of two years of journey level engineering experience in operations, maintenance, and repair work within a hospital, industrial, commercial building, or marine engineering environment.
- Must have experience with high pressure boilers, emergency generators, and heating, pneumatic, lighting, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and other mechanical equipment including the methods, tools, and materials used in the operation, maintenance, and repair of such equipment.
- Completion of at least four years in a recognized stationary engineer maintenance engineer apprenticeship program will be accepted in lieu of journey level experience.

Decontaminates surgical instruments and other medical devices and equipment. Assembles, prepares and packages surgical instruments and equipment for various methods of sterilization and high level disinfection. Maintains quality control and biological monitoring systems for sterilization processes. Answer's telephone and responds to requests for sterile instrument's and supplies. Utilizes computer systems for case cart stock supply and stock return. Gives direction to fellow team members and works as relief lead in Supervisors absence.
