Positon Summary: Student Nurses assesses patient/family health problems and resources, takes a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care provided by the nursing team. Provides technical nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations. This position requires providing service to a one or more age populations including an ill neonate through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

Our Research Department has an Opportunity for Summer Research Students to join our facility! Functions as an undergraduate or secondary school student working part-time or during summer breaks. Assists investigators in clinical or scientific studies. Basic knowledge of the scientific environment required.
Duties include washing glassware, preparing solutions, and assisting in experimental studies. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff and with external contacts in a fast-paced environment is required. Direct training by the Principle Investigator or Postdoctoral Fellow(s) will be provided.
• Prepare solutions, reagents, and media according to instructions.
• Assist in laboratory working including labeling, sorting, measuring, collecting, and processing samples.

Position Summary: Accountable for supervising the daily operations of the Environmental Services department to ensure optimal schedule and staffing level outcomes arerealized and are based upon census, acuity and budget. Incumbent is also responsible for ensuring sound financial oversight of operations. In addition the incumbent trains, evaluates and supervises staff in carrying out departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
- Selects, trains and evaluates staff; Establishes and maintains department staffing and schedules, ensuring appropriate number of qualified/competent staff are available while maintaining cost effective staffing mixes and patterns; Ensures staff maintain facility with a high level of cleanliness and that department guidelines are followed
- Monitors bed discharge cleaning needs and ensures that discharge beds are cleaned in a timely manner and with a high degree of quality; Monitors daily equipment use, cleaning and maintenance to ensure that all equipment is maintained in an appropriate working condition
- Maintains department quality improvement program and oversees the quality of service delivered ensuring that units are survey ready at all times
- Supervises the departmental inventory and allocation of resources as appropriate and ensures these follow hospital guidelines
Supervises diagnostic imaging department operations (e.g. nuclear medicine, MRI, Radiology, etc.) and ensures compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures. Assists with developing policies, protocols and procedures to measure and improve the quality of diagnostic imaging services provided by different departments and improves patient experience. Supervises personnel through performance management, qualified staff selection and training and effective communication. Maintains the safety of diagnostic imaging service equipment and creates a safe environment for patients, staff and the public.

SUMMARY - This position is responsible for supervising and managing the billing, collections, customer service, and cash application functions within the Physician Business Services department. This position provides coaching, feedback, and motivation to work together in a team environment to accomplish departmental goals.
Positiom Summary:
This position is responsible for transporting patients and items as well as assisting with other patient care activities including: transferring patients on/off tables, ambulation, lifting, and turning. The support tech will also perform unit related activities such as linen changes, answering call lights, filing and distributing reports and mail under the direction of the designated charge person. The support tech transports patients via gurneys, wheelchairs or hospital beds to various hospital departments or to the lobby for discharge. Incumbents in this position shall comply with all applicable laws and rules including the Dignity Health Standards of Conduct and Dignity Health policies and procedures that apply to his/her job responsibilities, seek guidance when in doubt, promptly report any potential or suspected violation of Dignity Health Standards of Conduct, Dignity Health policy or procedure or applicable laws/regulations and when requested, assist Dignity Health personnel in investigating all allegations of violation. When called upon, the incumbent shall assist in risk evaluation and work collaboratively with facility/entity leaders to implement, monitor and mitigate risk corrective plans outlined by the Compliance program.
Minimum:
- Must successfully complete competency validation for specific behaviors/tests required to be performed in this position.
- Customer Service experience and experience dealing with the public is required.
- Graduation from high school or its equivalent required.
- Current Basic Life Support for healthcare providers certification (CT BLS) required.
Preferred:
- Hospital environment experience is preferred.
