PHC organization was formed to provide the management, organizational and operational support for community clinics. Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Provides leadership in all aspects of medical and clinical affairs with particular emphasis on clinical quality and patient experience. Works with local and regional management, clinical staff, independent practice associations, the Board, market development representatives(MDRs), and other constituents to influence and recommend policy and strategic direction. Provides skilled management and leadership for all employed clinicians resulting in effective governance, planning, and monitoring of quality of patient care. Creates strong and enduring linkages and

alignments with physicians and APPs. Develop and support all efforts in improving patient experience, quality payment programs, and value-based payer agreements. Will work closely with senior leadership to develop and maintain peer review processes and ongoing physician performance evaluations. This position will be 60-75% administrative and 25-40% clinical. Reports directly to President & CEO of Pacific

Central Coast Health Centers.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Five (5) years clinical practice in medicine.
  • Demonstrated competence in managed care environments, preferably with experience practicing medicine in a competitive marketplace.
  • MD or DO degree with an active CA medical license required.
  • CA medical license.
  • Board certification in area of specialty.

 

Preferred:

  • Two (2) years experience as a medical director or comparable physician leadership role preferred.
  • Advanced degree in area of healthcare administration (MBA, MHSA, MPH) or related field desirable preferred.
