Responsibilities

Job Summary / Purpose
This role is responsible for leading the development, communication and oversight of the national Population Health Information Technology strategy and Information Management plan, covering population health entities including Medical Groups, Hospitals, CINs, ACOs & Value Based Operations across CommonSpirit Health. Serving as the key liaison with CommonSpirit Health Health IT partners, this role synthesizes the requirements of thousands of Population Health stakeholders and users from the local markets to ensure consistent, optimized solutions are deployed and operated that meet the needs of managing more than 2.5 million value based lives.

 

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

 

  • Partners closely with IT and system vendors to champion end-user satisfaction with the population health related IT platforms (timely, reliable, dependable, easy to use)
  • Collaborates with IT, legal, and local markets to develop and manage the implementation of PH Platform systems, ensuring broad-based representation.
  • Partners closely with CommonSpirit Health IT to communicate EPH technology requirements and ensures alignment with corporate IT policies and procedures.
  • In coordination with IT and Population Health entity leaders, owns a common Report Master and Data Dictionary to allow for common reporting at the enterprise level.
  • Drives the development and publishing of the annual Population Health Technology and Information Management Plan.
  • Represents Population Health in CommonSpirit Health technology governance and decision-making entities. Including to assesses legacy systems in Population Health to inform decisions.
  • Maintains a solid understanding of Population Health workflows, market drivers and healthcare IT in order to represent the business needs to communicate and guide EPH IT resources.
  • Leads financial analysis of IT platform systems to determine ROI and budgets.
  • Manages a small, nimble team of business and IT analysts in Enterprise Population Health
  • Engages with Populatin Health leaders across CommonSpirit Health, identifying and spreading technology and information management best practices.
  • Carries out special projects within Enterprise Population Health as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Knowledge of value based care and population health. Expertise in IT systems implementation.
  • At least 5+ years experience with IT strategy and implementation in Healthcare.
  • In-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry.
