SUMMARY - Join us now as we look for a Social Worker to add to our team. Our Social Worker provides psychosocial assessment, discharge planning/coordination, community referrals, crisis intervention, and supportive counseling. Develops and disseminates educational material to physicians, nurses, and staff regarding community resources, healthcare issues, insurance legislation, entitlement programs, etc. Facilitates education programs for patients and families.
Psychosocial support and resources are very important for the well being of patients and families. This salaried position at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix focuses on the needs of patients and families in our outpatient neurology clinic. The LMSW will work with families one-on-one as well as develop programming and support to meet the needs of communities affected by neurological conditions such as MS, headache, and seizure disorders.
