    Under the direction of the H.I.M. Director, this position will be responsible for day-to-day management of the Continuous Documentation Improvement Project to include all modalities, liaison with other departments and physicians, development and implementation of clinical documentation improvement processes. This position will work in conjunction with HIM and other health team members to provide for comprehensive medical record documentation to reflect clinical treatment, decisions, and diagnoses for inpatients.




    • Minimum of 3 years nursing experience in an acute hospital required
    • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.


    Minimum of 3 years nursing experience in an acute hospital required. Three to five years? experience as an inpatient nurse with additional experience in utilization management and discharge planning preferred. RHIA and/or RHIT and five or more years IP coding experience preferred. Complete annual safety training. Complete and maintain department specific training. Knowledge of and skill in the use of personal computers and related systems and software. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records, and DRG/procedure coding guidelines. RHIA and/or RHIT and five or more years IP coding experience preferred.
