Imaging Tech I--Cardiac Cath Lab

Under the general direction of the invasive Cardiologist, the Imaging Tech I assists with cardiac cath lab procedures. Primarily responsible for the radiographic equipment, radiographs and related imaging and archiving equipment. Participates as a surgical scrub as necessary. Monitors and processes hemodynamic data. Provides direct patient care under the direction and coordination of the RN responsible for patient care. 



  • Satisfactory completion of a full rotation at Northridge Hospital Cardiac Cath lab within the last year required.
  • Previous experience in scrubbing and monitoring of patients preferred
  • Courses in Hemodynamic monitoring, Arrhythmia Interpretation, Cardiac specific classes within 1 year of hire required.
  • Must become proficient at Siemens software, McKesson Hemodynamics, QSIGHT inventory management and current image archiving system within six months of employment.
  • Must become familiar with hospital Information system (AS400, ordering system) within six months of employment. 
  • California Radiologic Technologist,  American Registry of Radiologic Technologist and fluoroscopy certifications required.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support within one year of employment required.
