    Responsibilities

    This position reports (solid line) to the Chief Strategy Officer, Dignity Health Southern California service area and (dotted line) to the Dignity Health Director of Strategic Intelligence. This position is responsible for coordination of planning analytics across the Southern California service area of Dignity Health. The incumbent provides support to the Southern California Chief Strategy Officer and administrative leadership of the service area to meet local and system-wide strategic planning and business development requirements. The position is a full-time position.

     

    This position requires a bachelor's degree in business or another related field. A Master's degree in business, healthcare administration, public administration, or a related field, is preferred. Professional experience in planning, marketing and/or business development, preferably in the healthcare industry, is preferred. This position requires the incumbent to demonstrate:

     

    1.Strong written and verbal communication skills; diplomacy, tact and professionalism in interpersonal contacts

    2.Flexibility and organization to respond to changing priorities, deadlines and multiple simultaneous project responsibilities

    3.Ability to maintain accurate, up-to-date and effective databases.

    4.Ability to regularly update supervisor regarding status of projects and request direction/approval as required.

    5.The values of Dignity Health through interactions with internal and external contacts.

    6.Independent decision making and problem solving capabilities in project planning and data analysis

    7.Discipline to maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive business matters This position requires experience and skill using Microsoft Excel and interactive database tools to complete analyses. The incumbent must be knowledgeable about the use of Excel formulas, data analysis tools and graphic capabilities.

     

    Additional knowledge of the following is preferred:

    •Statistical and analytical techniques

    •Strategic planning principles and practices

    •Market research, including survey development and analysis

    •Software tools:Data analysis (Microsoft Excel) expert level, Word processing (Microsoft Word), proficient oData Base (Microsoft Access) - proficient, Mapping (Microsoft MapPoint/ESRI) proficient, Presentations (Microsoft Power Point) - proficient, Truven Market Expert & Intellimed, Cost Accounting (Mckesson HPM)

    Qualifications
