    The purpose of Dignity Health Management Services Organization (Dignity Health MSO) is to build a system-wide integrated physician-centric, full-service management service organization structure. We offer a menu of management and business services that will leverage economies of scale across provider types and geographies and will lead the effort in developing Dignity Health’s Medicaid population health care management pathways. Dignity Health MSO is dedicated to providing quality managed care administrative and clinical services to medical groups, hospitals, health plans and employers with a business objective to excel in coordinating patient care in a manner that supports containing costs while continually improving quality of care and levels of service.     Arizona Care Network (ACN) is a clinically integrated physician network and is a Dignity Health and Abrazo Health (Tenet) physician collaboration. The Senior Actuarial Analyst is an employee of Inland Health Organization of Southern California, Inc., doing business as Dignity Health Managed Services Organization, a physician support organization owned by Dignity Health. The Senior Actuarial Analyst will interact regularly with all levels and across all functions. The Senior Actuarial Analyst will work directly with the finance department as well as appropriate external resources.

     

    The Senior Actuarial Analyst will assist/lead Arizona Care Network (ACN)’s actuarial function. The Senior Actuarial Analyst will work with the finance department to promote best practices across the company and ensure the integrity of the organization’s contract performance and targets for various value-based contracts for the Accountable Care Organization (ACO). The Senior Actuarial Analyst in conjunction with the finance department will have responsibility for developing and maintain the company’s various tools for measuring profitability and risk exposures. The successful candidate will also assist in further developing the organization’s business intelligence (BI) capability ensuring the company is optimizing existing BI resources as well as adding resources to stay ahead of the curve on overall data-strategy and performance monitoring.

    What We’re Looking For

     

    • Provide actuarial guidance to ACN including the development and/or evaluation of necessary actuarial resources within the organization.
    • Develop actuarial analytics to clearly identify drivers of adverse trend performance and/or benchmark achievement related to commercial and government value-based contracts.
    • Produces system-wide reporting and performance management arrays in support identifying open care gaps, IBNR analysis, utilization leakage/keepage and other revenue enhancement opportunities.
    • Developing and implementing improved actuarial procedures; providing actuarial advice and consultation to management on matters relating to all relevant products and value-based contracts.
    • Representing ACN on actuarial matters in meetings with key stakeholders.
    • As required, will work and collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders on actuarial matters in meetings with rating agencies, public officials, and industry analysts.
    • Interacts with appropriate actuarial and regulatory committees on developing initiatives of importance to the organization.
    • Working collaboratively across appropriate functions and divisions to forecast and monitor contract performance and loss ratio levels consistent with profitability objectives for the organization.
    • Enhance decision-making through development of new risk management tools as it relates to the actuarial function including analysis of levels of risk associated with various contract negotiations as well as contract pricing for risk bearing contracts.
    • Evaluate and manage the company’s reinsurance programs and reinsurer relationships.
    • Facilitate the monitoring and control of the financial condition of the actuarial function including: Adequacy of reserves, Solvency standards, US GAAP and Product approval process.
    • Provide thought leadership on various cross-functional teams supporting the insurance businesses and be an active member of the senior management team.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, economics, or related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years related professional work experience in a healthcare setting, ideally payer or ACO setting.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

     

    • At least 1 Society of Actuarial (SOA) exam preferred
