The University of Arizona Cancer Center at St. Joseph’s is located approximately 3 miles from the main hospital and is the only National Cancer Institute Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center headquartered in Arizona. Our staff of pharmacists and technicians provide Infusion, retail and specialty pharmacy services to our patients.
Our Certified Pharmacy Techs, under the supervision of a pharmacist, the pharmacy technician performs pharmacy-related functions, in compliance with state/federal regulations and department policies and procedures that provide optimal pharmaceutical care. Is competent to work in any area of the Pharmacy (Infusion, Retail, Research).
One year work experience in hospital or infusion pharmacy practice
PTCB Pharmacy Technician certification
Computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office
Registered Pharmacy Technician in State of Arizona
Experience with handling and dispensing of parenteral chemotherapy
Experience with investigational protocols and medications
