    Responsible for anesthesia services at Mercy and Mercy Southwest Hospitals including Operating Rooms and Birth Center. Responsible for all anesthesia equipment and supplies in Surgical Services. Responsible for providing essential nursing care as supporting anesthesia procedures within the Scope of Practice of the Vocational Nurse licensed by the State of California and any other regulatory agency applicable within this facility. Responsible for assisting with the role of Nurse Extender as needed. Provides appropriate patient care according to the age of the patient, specifically: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality as per Administrative Policy.


    Knowledge of sterile technique, Anesthesia equipment,supplies and medications. This includes care, , and initial repair assessments. Experience with anesthesia procedures, supplies, and case preparation is also required. Must have the ability to read, write, and understand English. Must be able to use customary numerical systems for communication and medication dosages. Maintains a clean and safe work environment for self and others. Complies with all Joint Commission and California Department of Health Services requirements. Computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel CA LVN License with IV certification or, CA Paramedic License or Anesthesia Technician/Technologist Certification. ACLS and CPR Required.
