    Responsibilities

    In keeping with the Dignity Health core values, the Unit Support Tech supports and promotes the provision of quality patient care and actively participates as a team member in the systems, functions and activities of the unit/department.

     

    This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • High School diploma and current BLS, CPR certification required.

    Preferred Skills:

     

    Six (6) months recent hospital experience as a CNA, CT or UST preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures desirable. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Maintains effective working relationships with co-workers and medical staff. Relates with patients/visitors empathetically and tactfully. Reacts calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Demonstrates working knowledge of hospital safety policies and health standards. Ability to follow written and oral instructions in exact detail.
