Responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care through use of the nursing process and maintenance of standards of professional nursing practice. Responsible for the coordination of the hospital's Japanese Corporate and Travelers' Medical Services administered by the Franciscan Treatment Room. Provides Nursing consultation with expatriate employees and families of subsidiaries of Japanese corporations located in the San Francisco Bay Area, and Japanese travelers visiting San Francisco.
Experience in acute setting such as Emergency Services or Urgent Care required. Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or vocational nursing school. Baccalaureate degree preferred. Must have experience in Case Management, Managed Care, Medicare, Medi-Cal, Capitated, Senior, Commercial and HMO insurance regulations. Must be fluent in English and Japanese, with medical proficiency. Breath Alcohol trained required. NIOSH approved spirometry trained required. Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist. required. Also required: RN license, and BLS certification (AHA-approved).
Preferred/Desired: Knowledge of Workers' Compensation, federal Medicare regulations, state Medi-Cal regulations.
