    Position Summary:
    The Wound Care Coordinator is responsible for the development, coordination, and monitoring of the hospitals Wound Care Program. The Wound Care Coordinator establishes standards of care and clinical competencies to meet patient needs, and training to ensure clinical expertise. The Wound Care Coordinator works collaboratively with the medical staff and provides education to patients, caregivers, and staff on wound, ostomy, and continence care. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Mercy Hospital of Folsom. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support Mercy Hospital of Folsom�s strategic plan and the goals and direction the quality improvement / process improvement activities.
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute setting
    • Current CA RN licensure
    • BLS from the American Heart Association
    • Bachelor�s Degree in Nursing
    • Wound Care Certificate (WCC) required
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master�s Degree in Nursing (MSN)
    • Wound, Ostomy and Continence certificate (WOC)


    Registered Nurse in an Acute Care setting. 3 years Wound Care Certification (WCC) Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOC) WCC WOC Wound, Ostomy and Continence Certifications may be obtained within 24 months of hire.
