The purpose of Dignity Health Management Services Organization (Dignity Health MSO) is to build a system-wide integrated physician-centric, full-service management service organization structure. The Arizona Care Network (ACN) is a clinically integrated physician network is a Dignity Health and Abrazo Health physician collaboration. The Quality Data Abstractor is an employee of Dignity Health Management Services Organization (Dignity Health MSO).
The Quality Data Abstractor supports the Clinical Performance Department by locating specified clinical data for abstraction from various forms of medical records through intensive medical record review. This position abstracts clinical information from paper or electronic medical record and populates data collection tool to support compliance with quality measures.
PRINCIPLES DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A) EXPERIENCE: Minimum two (2) years experience charting in medical records and/or chart data abstracting experience, preferred. HEDIS/GPRO experience strongly desired.
B) EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High school diploma or equivalent required.
C) LICENSE, CERTIFICATION: None
D) OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Computer proficiency as well as knowledge of database entry. Strong organizational skills, required. Knowledge of general office procedures and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, required.
