    Marian Regional Medical Center, located in Santa Maria, CA, is nationally ranked among the top 10% in the nation for safety core measures in Cardiac Services and has the only comprehensive Cancer treatment and resource program from Los Angeles to San Francisco. Marian's new hospital includes 191 beds, expanded and enhanced Emergency Department, Critical Care Unit, NICU and women's services.

    Responsibilities

    About This Position

    In keeping with the Mission Hope Cancer Center health care philosophy, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and therapy of disease. Demonstrates knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures in vivo and in vitro, Radiopharmacy-dose calibration and calculations, bio-routing of labeled products, computers and some computer processing. Must also know departmental policy and procedures. Ability to work tactfully and effectively with fellow staff members, physicians and the patient population. Ability to work independently and be a functional team member in a team oriented environment. Self-motivated and able to achieve results through good organizational skills. Demonstrates a caring compassionate attitude toward others. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • PET/CT experience Special training in nuclear medicine to include PET/CT Imaging Demonstrates knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures in vivo and in vitro, Radiopharmacy-dose calibration and calculations, bio-routing of labeled products, computers and some computer processing
    • Must also know departmental policy and procedures
    • Ability to work tactfully and effectively with fellow staff members, physicians and the patient population
    • Ability to work independently and be a functional team member in a team oriented environment
    • Self-motivated and able to achieve results through good organizational skills
    • Demonstrates a caring compassionate attitude toward others
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
    • ARRT and CNMT certified
    • Current BLS CPR card
    • California State License

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Six (6) months previous experience as a nuclear medicine technologist preferred
    • Preferred CT certification
