    Northridge Hospital Medical Center
    The Department Specialist works under the direct supervision of the Cancer Center Director, the Department Specialist is responsible for follow-up, case finding, abstracting, computer data entry, and for coordinating the workflow of the department.  Assists the Cancer Center Director, as needed, with meeting duties, research and education activities, and serve as an information resource to other department personnel. All employees are expected to perform their duties in alignment with the vision and values of the organization.  The Department Specialist is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner. 




    • High School diploma.
    • 2-3 yrs Tumor Registry experience preferred.
    • In lieu of certification and relevant tumor registrar experience must be CTR certification eligible, or enrolled in Tumor Registry training education program
    • Must be BLS certified.
    • Fire Safety card required
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, patients and a variety of hospital personnel.
    • Types a minimum of 45 wpm.
    • Computer experience required.
