About This Position
In keeping with the Marian Medical Center philosophy, the Ambulatory Surgery Technician is responsible for surgery scheduling, inventory control and supply procurement for the Plaza Surgery Center.
The Ambulatory Surgery Technician assists the OR staff by performing basic Scrub Technician and Central Service duties. Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation used in surgical and invasive procedures. Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work, work without close supervision, and has a memory for details. Demonstrates ability to communicate clearly, concisely and accurately in both oral and written English skills. Actively participates in continuing education programs, unit based and task forces and committees.
Six (6) to twelve (12) months of related experience desired Seeks opportunities for improving job knowledge and skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members. Demonstrates working knowledge of hospital safety policies and procedures.
