    Marian Regional Medical Center, located in Santa Maria, CA, is nationally ranked among the top 10% in the nation for safety core measures in Cardiac Services and has the only comprehensive Cancer treatment and resource program from Los Angeles to San Francisco. In April 2012, Marian opened its doors to a brand new state-of-the-art facility which houses the latest technology to support excellent physicians and caregivers who deliver compassionate care each and every day.     In keeping with the Dignity Health care philosophy, the Onboarding Educator assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, documents and coordinates educational and training programs for onboarding new staff.


    Minimum Requirements:

    • A minimum of three years clinical experience.
    • Education/in-service experience required.
    • BLS certification required. BLS, ACLS, and PALS instructor certification required within six months of hire.
    • CA Registered Nurse license.
    • AS/AA in Nursing required.


    • Bachelors Degree


    Special Skills:

    • Ability to effectively teach classes to staff of all classifications.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of adult teaching principles and their application.
    • Ability to work with a team to plan, develop and implement onboarding programs and teach American Heart Certification classes.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Possesses initiative and the ability to work independently.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology, medical concepts, anatomy and physiology.
    • Ability to promote standards of nursing practice by using them as a framework for teaching, serves as a role model for staff.
