    The purpose of Dignity Health Management Services Organization (Dignity Health MSO) is to build a system-wide integrated physician-centric, full-service management service organization structure. We offer a menu of management and business services that will leverage economies of scale across provider types and geographies and will lead the effort in developing Dignity Health’s Medicaid population health care management pathways.  Dignity Health MSO is dedicated to providing quality managed care administrative and clinical services to medical groups, hospitals, health plans and employers with a business objective to excel in coordinating patient care in a manner that supports containing  costs while continually improving quality of care and levels of service.      The Finance Director is an employee of Dignity Health Managed Services Organization (DHMSO), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dignity Health.


    Under the oversight of the Chief Financial Officer of Dignity Health, the Finance Director is responsible for reporting the financial performance of DHMSO on a monthly basis and is responsible for detail utilization and quality analytics reporting. This position prepares financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules using the Lawson application, for use by the LLC owners and the Board of Managers.




    General Finance

    • Oversees closing of books for DHMSO on monthly basis, including review of bank reconcilement, journal entries and general ledger account activity.
    • From Lawson reports generated by the Dignity Health Corporate Finance team, analyze activity and propose journal entries to ensure monthly financial statements are reasonably and fairly reported for the LLC owners and Board of Managers reliance on accuracy and completeness of the information.
    • Presents monthly financial statements, including supporting schedules, to the DHMSO Committee and Board of Managers.
    • In collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer of DHMSO, this individual will prepare the annual budget to be submitted for approval.
    • Assures compliance with Dignity Health corporate policy and standards for financial reporting.
    • Develops, analyzes, and interprets statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.


    Payer Contract Performance Analysis

    • From claims and other data provided by vendors, including but not limited to Optum Impact Intelligence, and from payers such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and commercial insurance companies, prepares analysis of cost data to report financial performance of contracts.
    • Oversees reconciliation of member beneficiary information for all payer contracts.
    • Helps develop and revise gain-sharing and risk-sharing methodologies based on operational needs and available data.



    • Minimum three years in a director or controller position with a managed care organization (Independent Physician Association, Third-party Administrator or Health Plan)


    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Health Administration or a related field or experience commensurate with position.


    • Demonstrated skills in the areas of accounting, supervision, management, written and verbal communication, judgment, problem-solving, presentation and public relations.


    • This position requires a dynamic and highly motivated person with the ability to inspire and lead people, as well as communicate effectively with Physicians.
