Join us now as we look for a dynamic International Patient Services Program Manager. In this position the International Patient Services Program Manager manages the international patient services program for Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) and St. Joseph's Hospital &Medical Center (SJHMC). They will serve as the liaison between international patients, their BNI and SJHMC physicians, and their hospital nursing, allied health, and support staff to ensure that patient care services for international patients are well coordinated and culturally attuned. They will review and prepare relevant documents and records related to patient care and medical tourism.
The International Patient Services Program Manager facilitates and coordinates payment arrangements with the patient, the patient's insurance company, physician offices, hospitals, embassies and the SJHMC patient billing office. This position reports to the BNI Manager, Outreach and Patient Navigation and works collaboratively with the physician, nursing, allied health, and support teams that render care to international patients, and with staff from the Barrow and SJHMC Foundations.
Three (3) years of healthcare or hospitality experience
Strong communication skills to effectively interpret and convey complex clinical and financial information to a variety of audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively navigate a matrix organizational structure.
Computer skills and the ability to utilize automated hospital billing and record systems.
Versed in bi-lingual medical terminology.
Able to speak, read, and write fluently in Spanish and English.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with other cultures
Experience living, working, or studying abroad.
Certified Healthcare Interpreter (CT INTPRT)
Medical Tourism Experience
Ability to navigate U.S. and international healthcare delivery systems
