    Responsibilities

    JOIN US NOW as we are seeking a dynamic MA/ Registrar who is passionate about the health and well-being of our patients to provide excellent care to the patients of the Queen Creek Urgent Care Clinic. The MA/Registrar works under the direct supervision of the nurse manager in caring for the patient and providing the best possible individualized care in a timely manner.
     
    MA/Registrar is responsible for the verification and authorization of insurance benefits on all patient accounts through electronic verification system and/or third party payers in order to obtain accurate and prompt reimbursement. Provides information and answers questions about the Dignity Health Payment Assistance program.
     
    Queen Creek Urgent Care (QUC) is part of Dignity Health, which includes St. Joseph, Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers.  MUC is one of four Urgent Cares within that system and is located at 7205 S. Power Road, Queen Creek AZ 85124.

     

    QUC is a state of the art urgent care, offering a completely electronic medical record. QUC is open 365 days a year from 7 am-10 pm and employs board certified/prepared physicians, registrars, radiographic technologists and an all RN staff. QUC offers ten (10) hour shifts, opportunities for growth within the organization and the adventure of working with a professional caring staff who treat each patient as if they were a family member. 

     

    Located in the City of Queen Creek, Az, a suburb of Phoenix, this position is critical to the success of Chandler Regional Medical Center and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.

     

     

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Minimum of one (1) year experience in prior authorization, pre-certification, insurance benefits and how they apply to hospital registration or medical office settings.
    • Ability to determine & communicate patient financial responsibilities.
    • Previous registration or related experience.
    • Previous experience in a physician's office or urgent care center.
    • Medical terminology.
    • HS graduate or equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
    • Graduate from school/program of medical assistant or equivalent experience.
    • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Familiarity with personal computers and automated appointment schedules.
    • Typing speed: 30.
    • CPR certification. BLS card (American Heart).

    Preferred:

    • CHAA preferred within 18 months of hire.
