    Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    Is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization. Performs duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan, Joint Commission and other licensing, accrediting and regulatory agencies. Is responsible to support the Nurse Manager of the unit to manage and coordinate clinical operations in order to provide quality direct patient care to the pediatric, adult and geriatric population. Ensures all aspects of documentation, care planning and patient care delivery to meet regulatory requirements. Responsible for fostering a positive interactive team milieu. Facilitates optimal environment to support orientation, competency validation. Performs nursing assessment and implementation in completing immediate preop orders; i.e., preps, IVs, medication administration, procedural/site verification, assessment of labwork/EKGs, obtaining signed consents and assuring chart completion. Communicates closely with OR and other departments to facilitate OR schedule and to communicate delays.

     

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • CA RN, BLS and ACLS required.
    • Basic Computer Skills. 
    • New grads to have ACLS within 1 year of hire.
    • 1 -2 years of previous Outpatient experience.
    • Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Acute Experience Preferred. 
    • BSN preferred
