    Responsibilities

    JOB SUMMARY

    Assures proper functionality, safety and reliability of equipment for use by patients and staff. Inspects and services equipment as needed per guidelines. Expertise includes competence in the use of electronic test equipment, including oscilloscope, digital multimeter, signal generator, and other measuring and electronic diagnostic devices. Completes and documents the monthly scheduled inspections assigned by the Chief of Biomedical Engineering.

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    Four years current experience in the Biomedical Equipment or related field required. Six years current experience in the Biomedical Equipment or related field preferred. Must have an Associates Degree in Biomedical Instrumentation or Associates Degree in Electronic Engineering, or military training and certification. Associates Degree in Biomedical Instrumentation or Associates Degree in Electronic Engineering, or military training and certification. AAMI CBET Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician preferred. Must have knowledge of Anatomy/Physiology, medical terminology, gas plumbing, mechanical systems, pneumatic systems, and hydraulics a plus.

    Qualifications
