    Mercy San Juan Medical Center, a Dignity Health member, is a nationally recognized not-for-profit hospital located in Carmichael, California, serving the areas of north Sacramento County and south Placer County. The 370-bed facility is one of the region’s largest and most comprehensive medical centers, caring for more than 150,000 people each year and contains the only Comprehensive Stroke Center in the greater Sacramento region.


    This position is responsible for the efficient operation of Diagnostic Radiology at Mercy San Juan Medical Center including CT, MRI, Special Procedures (Interventional and Angiography),Ultrasound, Radiography/Fluoroscopy, Quality Control and liaison with all levels of the organization in a manner consistent with the Mission and Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy.


    Knowledge of: Imaging quality control for routine radiology and special procedures (i.e. Angiography, Computed Radiography, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, and PACS). *Equipment service and maintenance tracking techniques and methods.

    *QM/PI data collection, basic statistics, and reporting methods.

    *Effective interpersonal skills that foster inter- and intra- departmental cooperation.

    *Title 17 - Radiation Control Regulations, Title 22 - Health and Safety Code, JCAHO standards.


    Ability to:

    *Work independently.

    *Analyze data, come to conclusions, write reports.

    *Interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and outside agencies.

    *Supervise and train employees.

    *Trouble-shoot imaging equipment.

    • Experience in an imaging setting.
    •  Bachelors Degree or Five years progressive experience in an imaging setting may be substituted.
    • 2 years Competency in routine radiography
    • Any additional imaging modalities
    • Licensure in ARDMS or ARRT
