The person doing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner. The coders are responsible for coding of all inpatient, outpatient, ER, clinics, superbills and short stay surgery records. The coder will work with both concurrent review and discharged charts for inpatients. A coder must have a through knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT conventions.
