Under the direction of the Chief Physician Executive, provides patient care in the outpatient setting. Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the care of his or her patients. Responsibility includes the provision of and attention to quality care of major and minor illnesses, to long range issues of health and disease and to the needs for specialty consultation.
R.N. Degree Advanced Practitioner of Nursing.
Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practice, and medical care to give and evaluate patient care.
Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments.
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
Ability to assess medical conditions and interpret findings.
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Ability to communicate clearly.
Strong organizational, project management and education development skills.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to utilize the electronic medical record
Must demonstrate knowledge of keyboard/mouse abilities and navigation of Windows.
Must be able to communicate effectively and be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time.
Ability to form and manage teams.
Demonstrates organizational skills and strong leadership ability.
Ability to work remotely from acute care hospitals and direct supervision.
Certification as Advanced Practice RN.
Licensed in Nevada as an Advanced Practice RN (must obtain Nevada license prior to hire).
CT CPRBLS – Basic Life Support – AHA
