The Advanced Robotic Program Coordinator is a Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant with Surgical First Assistant privileges that is responsible for coordinating and implementing services and activities related to the Robotics Program.  Responsible for ensuring the patient receives the best possible clinical and service experience from the time of surgery scheduling throughout the continuum of care, by overseeing patient education, first assisting in surgery as needed and rounding on the patient during the hospitalization.  Will maintain quality standards for responsive service including data management of key quality indicators. He/she functions as a liaison between the physicians, nursing staff, allied healthcare professionals, patients and their families. 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Minimun Requirements:

 

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program
  • Certification for First Assistant
  • Working knowledge of performance improvement, licensure and accreditation requirements. Demonstrates good capacity for teaching, organizing, planning and development
  • Possess strong interpersonal communication and customer relation skills
  • Minimum 3 years of operating room experience required, minimum 2 years current surgical first assist experience require
  • Robotic surgery experience preferred
  • Urology, gynecology, and general surgery experience preferred
  • Licensure: Current CA RN license or PA-C license/certification by the State of California
  • Current American Heart Association BLS / ACLS card
