Responsibilities

Position Title: Director of Clinic Operations

 

Position Summary: 

Responsible for leading, planning, directing, monitoring and improving the overall performance for assigned clinics to achieve excellence in the delivery of daily operations. Engages staff and cultivate a positive clinics culture that prioritizes humankindness and patient-centric care. Accountable for operational, financial, clinical, quality, and business development activities across multiple disciplines..

  • Oversees the development of assigned clinics and regularly manages improvement projects and is accountable for operational, financial, and business development activities.
  • Develops, analyzes, and implements processes and systems to enhance customer service across assigned clinic(s) and takes ownership of and drives needed improvement in all aspects of operations, including clinic productivity, patient satisfaction/experience, provider satisfaction/experience, community efforts and serves as the local representative for the area.
  • Responsible for financial management of the assigned clinic's financial operation budgets, including forecasting gross and net revenues, visit projections, and expenditures.
  • Plans, coordinates and effectively leads assigned clinics to meet patient care, administrative, operational, and support requirements.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize the tools, techniques and procedures needed to establish and monitor budgets.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry's trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations and trendsetters; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a healthcare center; ability to use this knowledge to ensure the healthcare center performance is efficient and effective.

Education and Experience: 

  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years experience in related field. Minimum of three (3) years management experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience in lieu of the degree.
  • Licensure: None specified.
  • Special Skills: Working knowledge of community clinic/health center operations.
  • Training: None specified.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Required:

  • Five years working in a health center setting. Experience in the supervision and evaluation of staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles, standard practices, procedures and equipment utilized in front and back office medical management
  • Ability to coordinate patient care.
  • Computer skills in Excel, Word and electronic medical records
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures.
  • Self-motivated and able to achieve results through good organizational skills.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of CDPH regulatory requirements
  • Reacts calmly and efficiently in emergencies and unpredictable situations.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in managenent or healthcare related field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English and Spanish, clearly,concisely, and accurately.
