Responsibilities

3D Interactive Programmer / Modeler

 

Responsibilities

Collaborates with media team and neurosurgeons to plan and produce anatomical models from photogrammetry, diagnostic data, and academic references. Optimizes models and textures for various platforms and formats. Applies standard interactivity from program toolkits and develops new code for new forms of interactivity, as needed. Collaborates with the media team to create medical illustrations and animations from 3D models. Assists with the development of models for 3D printing.

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to create 3D models and interactive 3D programs. Expertise with 3D modeling software and 3D game engines. Education minimum: Undergraduate degree in Pre-biomedical Illustration or Computer Science or Computer Graphics. Graduate degree from an accredited program in Medical Illustration or Biomedical Visualization/Communications preferred.

 

Eduation: Bachelor's degree in Pre-biomedical Illustration or Computer Science or Computer Graphics

 

Preferred: Graduate degree from an accredited program in Medical Illustration or Animation or Biomedical Visualization or Biomedical Communications or Graduate degree in Computer Science or Interactive Programming.

 

Expertise with 3D game engines, such as Unity or Unreal. Expertise with 3D computer animation and modeling software, such as Maya 3D and Zbrush. Expertise with application programming.

 

Licensure: Certified Medical Illustrator preferred.
