Dignity Health Mercy General Hospital has been serving the Sacramento community for more than 100 years. Founded by the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy General has been at its current site in the heart of East Sacramento since 1925. Mercy General Hospital has 342 licensed beds, a physician staff of more than 800 and is the highest volume cardiac procedure hospital in California. Mercy General is one of six Sacramento area hospitals that are part of Dignity Health, a system of 39 hospitals and medical centers in California, Arizona and Nevada.
Ensures the proper operation and maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment, distribution lines for steam, hot water, plumbing, electricity refrigeration, sanitation for hospital and Medical Office buildings. Responds rapidly to emergency situations, including fire, and disruptions of above stated utilities.
Special skills required for the position include the ability to maintain and repair the following equipment and associated systems: boiler systems and related equipment, HVAC systems and related equipment, pneumatic controls, emergency generators and related equipment, electrical distribution systems, water supply and drainage systems, miscellaneous building equipment and systems, physical structures of facilities, medical gas systems and related equipment, fire alarm systems and related equipment, Nurses call and other communication systems.
