Responsibilities

In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Sequoia Hospital, the Pharmacy Technician is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the preparation of pharmaceuticals under the direction of Pharmacists and the Director of Pharmacy. Applies Dignity Health Core Values to the performance of every job duty.

 

This position is responsible for performing a variety of technical and manipulative tasks associated with the preparation and dispensing of medications for hospital inpatients and outpatients, under the director of the pharmacists.

 

  • IV admixture services and automatic dispensing machine experience preferred.
  • Hospital pharmacy experience preferred. High school education or equivalent.
  • Completion of annual safety training. Completes and maintains required unit specific training.
  • Current California Pharmacy Technician registration
