In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health, the Clinical Nurse Educator is a professional who is responsibility and accountability for addressing the learning needs of the staff caring for patients. As part of the Education Department the Clinical Nurse Educator is also responsible for supporting the ongoing learning needs of the organization. Adult learning principles will be utilized to appropriately match the educational and professional needs and requirements of the staff in providing necessary and complementary educational programs, clinical competency review, equipment training, and clinical outcomes evaluation.
The Clinical Nurse Educator will also participate actively in measuring the effectiveness of this learning. The position is responsible for providing staff development in a dynamic manner to meet needs for professional growth and development. The position is closely aligned with its community education resource networks and provides support to programs designed for the education of patients and their families across the lifespan.

Five (5) years recent related experience in the clinical area. Education or instructor experience in the clinical area preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Nursing or related field preferred.Masters degree in nursing preferred. Current California licensureas a Registered Nurse (RN).Current certifcation in AHA BLS certification required. Current AHA BLS CPR Instructor certification preferred. Current AHA ACLS certification desirable.
