Responsibilities

Position Summary:

In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Healthcare, The Anesthesia Technician Level 3 (AT 3) is to assist licensed anesthesia providers, in the acquisition, preparation and application of equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia. Responsibilities may include:

 

  • Prepares, and cleans patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during, and after anesthesia.
  • Providing support for anesthesia cases by assisting in the preparation of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia.
  • Performs first level trouble shooting, and maintenance of anesthesia delivery systems. 
  • Sterilizes, disinfects anesthesia equipment, orders supplies, and maintains stock in all anesthesia machines, and the AWS.
  • Advance knowledge of anesthesia, and cardiac anesthesia procedures.
  • Provide leadership in the anesthesia support department, by assisting in administrative duties as assigned; they will also assist in the development of training, and evaluation programs.
  • Cleaning the OR suites, and obtaining and putting away supplies and equipment. 
  • Assists in the delivery of patient care by transporting patients, moving and positioning help, prepping patients, transport specimens, transporting of blood products.

 

Minimum:

  • Three years of Anesthesia Technician 2 experience or equivalent anesthesia experience and successful completion of Tech III training.
  • High school diploma or GED 
  • AHA BLS
  • AHA ACLS  

Qualifications

Three years of Anesthesia Technician 2 experience or equivalent anesthesia experience and successful completion of Tech III training. High school diploma or GED AHA BLS. AHA ACLS
