Responsibilities

St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center is actively seeking a fellowship trained Critical Care Intensivist to join our team in the Cardio-Thoracic and Transplant ICU.

Reporting to the Director, Norton Thoracic Institute, this position is to establish a fellowship trained Intensivists program and provide service for the patients of Norton Thoracic Institute and Transplant Services and the Cardiac Surgical Service Line. We are specifically looking for an individual who can integrate with our providers and staff and be a stepping stone to the future of our program.

Norton Thoracic Institute specializes in a multidisciplinary approach to evaluating, diagnosing and treating individuals with known or suspected diseases of the lungs, chest, diaphragm, mediastinum, or esophagus. Our physicians and staff care for some of the most critically ill patients in the western region of the United States and has the 2nd busiest Lung Transplant Program in the United States.

Located conveniently in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is a 450+ bed, not-for-profit hospital that provides a wide range of health, social and support services.  We are extremely proud to be a nationally recognized center for quality tertiary care, medical education and research. Minimum Requirements:
  • MD or DO Degree
  • Completed ACGME Residency training with current ABMS Board Certification
  • Fellowship in Critical Care
  • A passion for providing clinically excellent care
  • Must have or be eligible for Arizona State medical licensure
  • Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
