Position Summary:

An Administrative Coordinator is a position that supports the Emergency Department professional caregivers through the clerical functions related to patient registration and clinical data input and record.

Minimum:

• Two years vocational training or two years relevant work experience may be substituted for vocational training required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years combined experience in healthcare industry required.
• Graduation from High School or equivalent required.
• Able to understand and follow all policies, procedures, guidelines, rules and regulations of the assigned unit, Nursing Service, Sequoia Hospital, Title XXII, COBRA/EMTALA, JCAHO and other applicable state and federal laws required.
• Able to work under stress and accurately performs multiple tasks required.
• Knowledgeable of computers, including data entry required.
• Must obtain Crisis Response Training (CRT) within three months of hire or transfer.

Preferred:

• Typing and word processing skills recommended.
