Responsibilities

 

The Employee Health department is accountable for employee health and safety at the assigned facility. This role participates in implementation of program changes and work practices for continued quality improvement. Additionally,  provides coordination, planning, development, evaluation and monitoring of Hospital Compensation, Transitional Work (TWP) and Employee Health programs. 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing 
  • Current California RN license
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to handle conflict in an assertive and positive manner
  • Ability to work independently and excellent organizational skills 
  • Current BLS
  • A minimum of 5 years experience required in similar position or related field; at least 3 years direct experience in risk management, workers compensation claims management and occupational/employee health.
  • Training and/or working knowledge in providing educational seminars / training.
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation, labor code, OSHA regulations and other state and federal requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Occupational Health Nurse 
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree
