Responsibilities

Position Summary:
This position provides leadership, technical support and direction for Women's Imaging services. Ensures high quality care is provided to patients while meeting the needs of the organization, regulatory agencies, physicians, and staff. Directs the daily staff activities and serves as the primary representative. The coordinator works closely with the Imaging Services Director to allocate human resources appropriately and make adjustments to meet the workload. Assumes other administrative duties as assigned which may include tabulating payroll, purchasing supplies, verifying invoices, assisting with annual performance reviews, development of policies and procedures, staff education and orientation and facilitating department staff meetings. The supervisor  participates in the development of the departmental operating and capital budget. Functions as a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist as defined by Title 22 and acts according to the policies of Marian Regional Medical Center. Responsible for all aspects of MQSA. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

Qualifications

Education and Experience: 
  • Graduate of an accredited imaging program required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in performing a variety of imaging examinations. Minimum of three (3) years of recent imaging experience.
Licensure: 
  • Minimum 3 years experience in DX Technology and mammography services.
  • Must be able to work without constant supervision. Substantial clinical knowledge is required related to the imaging
    modalities offered.
  • Previous experience with regulatory agencies pertaining to Radiology and Mammography including
    but not limited to FDA, ACR, State of California Department of Health Services, JCAHO.
  • Must be knowledgeable in areas of radiation safety, mammography accreditation and must possess skills necessary to implement effective QA and PI programs related to Diagnostic Imaging.
  • CT CPRBLS;CT RTT;CT MAM-FLO;RG ARRT

Special Skills:

  • Good communication and guest relation skills. Demonstrate self-motivated and self-directed behavior.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
