Dignity Health Medical Group – Dominican, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, is committed to serving the continuing health care needs of Santa Cruz County. Supported by the rich community history Dominican Hospital, our doctors provide convenient, personalized care to patients throughout the region along the full continuum of care. We operate 18 clinics in Santa Cruz County and feature more than 70 providers with specialties including pediatrics, oncology and hematology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, gastroenterology, OB/GYN, urology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and urgent care. Santa Cruz County is 70 miles south of San Francisco and boasts great surf, sandy beaches, redwood-covered mountains and more.


Position Summary:
The Executive Director is responsible for providing senior leadership to the Dignity Health Medical Foundation service line assigned. The Executive Director is responsible for the clinical operations of the service line, as well as being involved in the strategic plan including patient care, employee engagement, organizational development, change management, human capital management, physician engagement, financial management and program delivery. The Executive Director is expected to lead in a manner that reflects the Dignity Health Medical Foundation mission, vision and values and incorporate such into daily interaction with peers, employees, physicians and patients.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience working in a leadership capacity
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare industry
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
  • Strong and effective oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in an Integrated Healthcare Delivery System
  • Breadth of experiences encompassing knowledge of medical group operations to demonstrate understanding of an Integrated Delivery System
  • Experience managing multiple, large-scale, complex projects
  • Experience managing 150+ physicians in multiple medical group practices
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration strongly preferred
